China\u2019s plywood exports reached 6.49 million cubic metres in the first half of 2025, valued at US$2.52 billion, representing increases of 2% and 3%, respectively, compared with the same period in 2024.<\/p>\n

The destinations for China\u2019s plywood are numerous, with shipments to the top 10 markets accounting for nearly half of the national total during the first six months of 2025. Exports to major destinations rose at a faster pace year on year in the first half of 2025.<\/p>\n

Plywood exports to Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Nigeria, Australia, and Mexico surged 48%, 49%, 50%, 21%, and 22%, respectively, contributing significantly to the overall increase. Exports to Canada also rose 6% in the first half of 2025. In contrast, shipments to the UK, Vietnam, and Japan declined 8%, 9%, and 7%, respectively. Meanwhile, China\u2019s plywood exports to the United States dropped sharply, totaling 110,783 cubic metres valued at US$65 million, down 26% in both volume and value compared with the first half of 2024.<\/p>\n
