The cooperative reports improved results for the first half of 2025, despite uncertainty in the global market for its products. Profit before tax reached 168 million SEK (14.9 million EUR) in the first six months of the year, compared with 149 million SEK (13.2 million EUR) in the same period last year.<\/p>\n

The world market for the company\u2019s products has been under pressure for the past two years, reflecting the global economic climate. During the first half of 2025, uncertainty about tariffs further shaped market behaviour, leading to a cautious stance among buyers and traders. Despite this, Norra Skog maintained stable operations and improved its results year-on-year.<\/p>\n

CEO P\u00e4r L\u00e4rkeryd highlighted the company\u2019s ability to consolidate its position even in times of reduced harvesting volumes in Sweden, noting that Norra Skog\u2019s forestry organisation has shown strength in a period of intense competition for raw material.<\/p>\n

Outlook for 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the second half of 2025, Norra Skog foresees continued adjustments in the forest industry. Stocks of pulpwood are increasing, while the relationship between supply and demand for sawlogs is gradually stabilising. This situation may put downward pressure on log prices in Sweden.
