<\/span>Kronospan Holdings Ltd. posted a decline in revenue for the financial year ended September 30, 2024, as pricing pressure in European panel markets weighed on results, despite largely stable sales volumes.<\/p>\n

Turnover fell 12.2% to \u00a3328.5 million<\/strong>, down from \u00a3374.2 million<\/strong> a year earlier. The company said sales volumes remained broadly unchanged, but lower average prices and increased input costs reduced overall revenue.<\/p>\n

Operating profit dropped sharply to \u00a36.4 million<\/strong> from \u00a351.7 million<\/strong>, while EBITDA fell to \u00a329.2 million<\/strong> from \u00a379.8 million<\/strong>. Pre-tax profit from continuing operations declined to \u00a32.3 million<\/strong>, down from \u00a349.3 million<\/strong> in FY2022\/23, according to company filings.<\/p>\n

The downturn was attributed to sustained competitive pressure on prices, coupled with higher financing costs and inflation. Management highlighted that market conditions in the European panel sector, including slowing construction demand and cost pressures, contributed to the weaker results.<\/p>\n

Despite the decline, Kronospan emphasized that production volumes remained stable and the company continues to monitor market developments closely to maintain operational efficiency and market presence.<\/p>\n
