<\/span>Holmen\u2019s operating profit for the second quarter was SEK 807 million (\u20ac65 million), down from SEK 983 million (\u20ac80 million) in the same period last year. Sales totaled just over SEK 5.5 billion (\u20ac445 million), compared with SEK 5,894 million (\u20ac477 million) in Q2 2024.<\/p>\n

Competition for timber increased and prices rose further. Pulpwood prices remained largely unchanged due to lower pulp industry activity and weaker energy-sector demand.<\/p>\n

The Forest business area reported operating profit of SEK 519 million (\u20ac42 million), up from SEK 490 million (\u20ac40 million). The Energy business area recorded an operating loss of SEK -33 million (\u20ac-3 million), compared with a profit of SEK 59 million (\u20ac5 million), caused by low electricity prices in northern Sweden due to high water flows and limited transmission capacity.<\/p>\n
