<\/span>The 2024\/2025 financial year presented a complex operating environment for the EGGER Group. The wood-based materials manufacturer, which operates internationally, faced headwinds from a sluggish construction sector in key markets, rising geopolitical tensions, and broader economic uncertainty. Despite these external pressures, EGGER reported a stable financial year, supported by diversified market presence and continued investment activity.<\/p>\n

Financial performance<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the 2024\/2025 financial year, EGGER generated consolidated turnover of EUR 4,126.3 million, down 0.1% from the previous year. Group EBITDA reached EUR 541.3 million, a 9.7% increase compared to the previous year, resulting in an EBITDA margin of 13.1% (previous year: 11.9%). The equity ratio remained high at 42.8%, reflecting the company\u2019s continued financial stability.<\/p>\n

The Group produced 10.8 million m\u00b3 of wood-based materials and timber during the year, up from 10.4 million m\u00b3 in the previous period.<\/p>\n

Regional and segment trends<\/strong><\/p>\n

Economic conditions had uneven effects across product categories and regions. Demand was particularly weak in Western and Central Europe, where the downturn in construction activity dampened volumes in both the building and decorative product lines. These conditions led to strong price and volume competition.<\/p>\n

In contrast, markets in Eastern Europe and overseas\u2014particularly in Asia\u2014showed more positive developments. EGGER\u2019s facility in Lexington, North Carolina, also delivered improved earnings compared to the previous year.<\/p>\n

The Decorative Products segment, which includes materials for furniture and interior applications, generated an unconsolidated turnover of EUR 3,647.7 million, representing a slight increase of 0.5% year-on-year. The Building Products segment, which covers materials for wood construction and flooring, recorded an unconsolidated turnover of EUR 705.4 million, a marginal increase of 0.1%.<\/p>\n

Investments and expansion<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Group continued to implement its long-term investment strategy focused on sustainable growth and production capacity expansion. Investments in 2024\/2025 totalled EUR 435.0 million, compared to EUR 568.6 million in the previous year.<\/p>\n

The most significant ongoing project is the expansion of the plant in Markt Bibart, Germany, acquired in 2023. EGGER is investing over EUR 200 million at this site through 2026 in sustainability upgrades, automation, and capacity building. The first expansion stage is nearing completion. In the coming weeks, the plant is scheduled to begin operations at a new recycled wood processing facility for chipboard production.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
