<\/span>Stora Enso\u2019s Wood Products division reported higher sales and profits in the second quarter of 2025, driven by price increases and higher sales volumes.<\/p>\n

Sales rose 19.1% to EUR 494 million in Q2 from EUR 414 million a year earlier, supported by increased sawn wood deliveries and the acquisition of Junnikkala. Deliveries grew 11.5% to 1.148 million cubic meters.<\/p>\n

Adjusted EBIT climbed 56.7% to EUR 11 million from EUR 7 million, as higher prices and volumes offset rising raw material and fixed costs. The adjusted EBIT margin improved to 2.2% from 1.7%.<\/p>\n

Cash flow from operations dropped to EUR 7 million from EUR 32 million in the prior year, while cash flow after investments fell to EUR 1 million from EUR 26 million.<\/p>\n

CEO Hans Sohlstr\u00f6m said demand for traditional wood products and building solutions remained strong, but raw material costs continued to rise, prompting price increases.<\/p>\n

The results come as Stora Enso faces short-term costs from starting a new consumer packaging board line in Oulu, expected to reduce earnings by EUR 30\u201345 million. The company also sold 175,000 hectares of forest land in Sweden for EUR 900 million to reduce debt.<\/p>\n

Sohlstr\u00f6m said market demand is likely to stay volatile through the end of the year due to macroeconomic and geopolitical uncertainty.<\/p>\n
