Recent projects reflect this growing momentum. From the large-scale Phoenix development\u2014the UK\u2019s biggest timber neighbourhood\u2014to net-zero schemes by Greencore Homes in Oxfordshire and climate-focused developments in Leeds by Citu, timber is emerging as a cornerstone of future urban design. Initiatives like the MultiMax system by Waugh Thistleton Architects and WeCanMake, and Agile Homes\u2019 use of infill sites to create low-carbon, affordable housing, demonstrate how timber is unlocking new possibilities for sustainable urban living.<\/p>\n
However, scaling up timber construction will require coordinated support.
