EUR 65 million), up from SEK 500 million in the same period last year. Net sales rose by 10% year-on-year to SEK 2.45 billion (EUR 215 million).Despite a 7% drop in delivery volumes, the company said average log prices rose by 16%, with deliveries from its own forests seeing a 28% price increase compared to Q2 2024.<\/p>\n<div class=\"markdown prose dark:prose-invert w-full break-words light\">\n<p><strong>Strong half-year performance<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Over the first six months of 2025, Sveaskog's net sales totalled SEK 4.78 billion (EUR 419 million), a 9% increase year-on-year. Operating profit rose by 45% to SEK 1.58 billion (EUR 139 million).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"950\" data-end=\"986\"><strong>Market outlook remains uncertain<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sveaskog also completed the sale of its stake in Setra Group AB to Mellanskog during the quarter.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1088\" data-end=\"1304\">\u201cThe Setra divestment is part of our long-term strategy to remain an independent forest owner without interests in the processing industry,\u201d said Erik Brandsma, CEO of Sveaskog, in the company\u2019s interim report.<\/p>\n<p>While raw material availability has generally improved, Brandsma warned that log prices have continued to rise, fuelled by strong demand \u2014 even as several forest industry customers struggle with weaker product demand and high raw material costs.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1557\" data-end=\"1886\">\u201cWe\u2019re entering a pivotal period where our focus is on building a robust and future-proof business,\u201d he said.<br data-start=\"1668\" data-end=\"1671\" \/>\u201cWe will continue to prioritise sustainable forest management, our seed and seedling operations, our newly developed timber procurement services, and full transparency in our role as an independent market player.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sweden\u2019s state-owned forest company Sveaskog reported a sharp rise in second-quarter earnings, driven largely by significantly higher log prices.In the second quarter of 2025, Sveaskog\u2019s operating profit increased by 48% to SEK 740 million (approx.
