Latvian wood processor Stiga RM has completed a \u20ac22.4 million modernization of its birch plywood plant in Kuld\u012bga, aimed at expanding production capacity and improving product quality amid growing demand in Europe and global markets.<\/p>\n
The project, launched in early 2023, was co-financed with \u20ac5.145 million from the state-owned Development Finance Institution ALTUM, under its large investment loan program with capital discount. The investment has resulted in improved manufacturing efficiency, expanded product range, and a higher share of laminated plywood in the company\u2019s output.<\/p>\n
The Kuld\u012bga facility reached full capacity in December 2024. The upgrade also created 38 new jobs and introduced sustainable technologies to increase value-added production.<\/p>\n
Stiga RM, one of the leading birch plywood manufacturers in the Baltic region, said it is now preparing for a new investment phase focused on innovation and export growth.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
