Layerwood Production will build a modern glued timber manufacturing plant in Kohtla-J\u00e4rve.<\/span><\/p>\n

The \u20ac29 million facility is scheduled to open in the second half of 2026 in the Kohtla-J\u00e4rve industrial park. A construction permit has already been granted.<\/p>\n

Of the total investment, Layerwood Production will contribute \u20ac16 million, while the remaining \u20ac13 million will come from the Just Transition Fund.<\/p>\n

The plant will cover an area of 12,000 square metres and will produce various types of glued timber used in furniture manufacturing, construction materials, garden products, and playground equipment. The production process will be highly automated, and the plant will employ more than 60 people.<\/p>\n

The majority of the output is intended for export to other EU countries. Initial production capacity is set at 54,000 cubic metres of glued timber per year.<\/p>\n

In parallel, Layerwood is also planning to open another manufacturing unit in the Kohtla-J\u00e4rve industrial park, scheduled to launch in the early 2030s. This facility is expected to create 50 jobs.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
