A swift recovery in the construction sector appears unlikely, yet sawmills across the country remain receptive and continue to accept planned assortments without delay.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"639\" data-end=\"832\">Spruce sawlogs are being taken up quickly, including minor volumes of storm-damaged wood, reflecting a stable market. Prices are mostly unchanged, with slight increases reported regionally.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"834\" data-end=\"1047\">In contrast, pine logs are facing tough market conditions. Sales are slow, and forest owners are advised to ensure prompt transport and handover after harvest to avoid quality degradation caused by blue stain.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1049\" data-end=\"1168\">Larch continues to perform strongly, with demand outstripping supply. Prices remain high and stable across Austria.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1170\" data-end=\"1559\">On the industrial wood side, most pulp, paper, and board producers are currently well stocked. Sales of groundwood remain difficult, while pulpwood markets are balanced, with supply and demand broadly in line. Transport and intake are generally proceeding without issues, except for slight delays in storm-affected areas in the east. Prices for industrial roundwood are stable.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1561\" data-end=\"1756\">Red beech pulpwood presents a mixed picture: demand is picking up in southern Austria, while mills in the north continue to limit intakes. Nevertheless, prices remain steady across the board.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1758\" data-end=\"2098\">The energy wood market remains under significant pressure. Buyer inventories are full, and seasonal weather conditions have sharply reduced demand. There is currently no market for additional volumes beyond existing long-term contracts.
