German conveyor and press systems manufacturer Minda has completed the acquisition of finger joint technology specialist Howial GmbH & Co. KG, further strengthening its position in the engineered wood products sector.<\/p>\n
The move follows a cooperation agreement signed in 2022 that allowed the companies to collaborate on sales, development, procurement, production, and control technology. Both firms, which have a history of successful joint projects, say the integration is a natural next step.<\/p>\n
Minda gains advanced expertise in finger joint technology, while Howial benefits from Minda\u2019s extensive international market experience and resources.<\/p>\n
Howial\u2019s existing portfolio of compact and cycle center machines will be expanded through joint development of higher-performance systems aimed at industrial-scale engineered wood manufacturers.<\/p>\n
Minda also plans to integrate Howial\u2019s finger joint systems into its production control software, FlowMate, aiming to reduce system interfaces and deliver fully seamless software solutions.<\/p>\n
