Sauli Brander has been appointed as the Chief Customer Officer of Wood Procurement and Forest Services at Mets\u00e4 Group and a member of the Management Team as of 1 April 2026. He is responsible for the strategy process of wood procurement and forest services, wood procurement planning, trade with industrial customers, international wood procurement and mill reception. Brander has long and diverse experience in management positions in UPM's wood procurement organization.<\/p>\n
Yrj\u00f6 Per\u00e4l\u00e4, who has served as Customer Relations Director since 2018, will move to a part-time position as Project Director from April 1, 2026, and has announced that he will retire in the summer of 2027. As Project Director, Per\u00e4l\u00e4 is responsible for promoting strategic projects defined by the Forest Director.<\/p>\n
