<\/span>SCA's wood division reported a 69% growth in 2024 full-year earnings (EBITDA) to SEK 927 million (approximately \u20ac81 million), up from SEK 550 million (about \u20ac48 million) in 2023. The division, which produces 2.2 million m\u00b3 of solid wood products annually, saw its annual sales for the year ended December 31, 2024, increase by 7% to SEK 5.539 billion (around \u20ac485 million), compared to SEK 5.158 billion (approximately \u20ac452 million) in 2023. The increase in sales was primarily due to higher selling prices.<\/p>\n

In Q4 2024, net sales increased by 12% to SEK 1.416 billion (about \u20ac124 million), up from SEK 1.264 billion (approximately \u20ac111 million) in Q4 2023. EBITDA for the period was SEK 234 million (around \u20ac20 million), compared to SEK 65 million (about \u20ac6 million) in Q4 2023. SCA noted that demand for solid-wood products remained cautious, attributed to the uncertain construction and real estate market in the current economic climate. Selling prices were largely unchanged compared to the preceding quarter. Producer stocks in Sweden were at normal levels, while customer stocks were low.<\/p>\n

Across all divisions, SCA posted net sales of SEK 20.232 billion (approximately \u20ac1.77 billion) for 2024, up from SEK 18.081 billion (about \u20ac1.59 billion) in 2023. EBITDA amounted to SEK 7.143 billion (around \u20ac625 million), compared to SEK 6.807 billion (approximately \u20ac598 million) in the previous year. In a challenging market, SCA reported an EBITDA margin of 35.3% for 2024, down from 37.6% in 2023.<\/p>\n

The supply of wood raw material to SCA's industries was stable. The global and European supply of wood raw material has been restricted due to factors such as the cutoff of import volumes from Russia, pest infestations in Central Europe, and reduced harvesting in Canada.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
