Total imports from European Union countries dropped 19% in volume to 3.47 million cubic meters (cbm) and 14% in value to \u20ac881.37 million.<\/p>\n<p>Germany remained the largest exporter to the U.S., but shipments fell by 18% to 1.86 million cbm, while the export value declined by 20% to \u20ac468.36 million. Sweden followed, with a 9% decrease in volume (964,455 cbm) and an 8% reduction in value (\u20ac261.23 million).<\/p>\n<p>Latvia and the Czech Republic stood out with significant growth in export value and volume. Latvia's shipments increased by 41% to 115,065 cbm, accompanied by an 87% rise in value to \u20ac35.29 million. The Czech Republic saw a 58% growth in volume (69,020 cbm) and a 72% increase in value (\u20ac18.78 million).<\/p>\n<p>Other countries showed mixed results. Romania\u2019s exports fell 27% in volume to 92,041 cbm, with a 17% drop in value to \u20ac23.23 million. Austria recorded a 37% decline in volume and a 36% decrease in value, exporting 79,942 cbm worth \u20ac22.23 million.<\/p>\n<p>Smaller exporters faced sharp declines.
