<\/span>Timber prices in Sweden increased by a significant 24 percent in 2024 compared to the previous year.<\/p>\n

Sawlogs experienced the sharpest rise, with prices climbing by 30 percent, with spruce logs showing slightly higher gains than pine logs. Pulpwood prices also increased, rising by approximately 17 percent, depending on the tree species, according to a new report from the marketplace Treebula, formerly known as Virkesb\u00f6rsen.<\/p>\n

Price trends varied significantly across different regions of Sweden. Treebula highlighted Svealand as the biggest winner, while Norrland lagged behind.<\/p>\n

The most notable price hikes were observed in S\u00f6dermanland and V\u00e4stra G\u00f6taland, where timber prices rose by around 35 percent. In these regions, sawlog prices jumped by over 40 percent, while pulpwood prices increased by 25-30 percent.<\/p>\n

V\u00e4sterbotten, on the other hand, stood out on the lower end, with an overall price increase of just 4 percent.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt has been a good year for forest owners, and demand for all forest products is rising rapidly.
