<\/span>Moelven Edanes\u00e5gen AB has completed the first phase of a significant investment project aimed at increasing its production capacity and efficiency. The upgrades include a new sawing line, timber sorting systems, a bark machine, channel dryers, and by-product handling systems. The project, initially announced in June 2021, is part of a long-term plan to modernize the facility and adapt to market demands.<\/p>\n

The new sawing line, which became operational in June 2023, is designed to improve raw material utilization and product quality. With these upgrades, the sawmill is expected to transition from three shifts to two while maintaining its current workforce, resulting in a projected increase in production. Further improvements in dimensional accuracy and by-product quality are also anticipated.<\/p>\n

The first log was processed on schedule in mid-June, with timber sorting operations starting ahead of plan. Production commenced at the end of July, and by November, the facility had met the criteria for Moelven to take over full management. The project remains on track, with staff training and operational adjustments ongoing to optimize the new equipment.<\/p>\n

The second phase of the investment, planned for 2025, will include the installation of a planing line and painting facility. These additions aim to expand production capabilities and further align the facility with industry standards.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
