<\/span>After the holding company of the Ziegler Group timber company and numerous subsidiaries filed for insolvency, the provisional insolvency administrator, lawyer Volker B\u00f6hm from Schultze & Braun, has begun the search for investors. According to the statement, several interested parties for Ziegler companies have already come forward.<\/p>\n

According to the information, B\u00f6hm's aim is to develop investor solutions for as many of the Ziegler companies as possible in order to preserve the companies and as many of the respective jobs as possible. A total sale of the group is also conceivable. However, there are various business areas that could be of interest to different investors.<\/p>\n

The provisional insolvency administrator has begun to \"unravel the complex corporate structures of the Ziegler Group\" and to examine the economic situation of the individual group companies. B\u00f6hm says he sees good future prospects for some of the companies.<\/p>\n

The Ziegler Group from Pl\u00f6\u00dfberg in the Tirschenreuth district in Upper Palatinate has around 3,000 employees - the vast majority of them in Germany - and reportedly generated group sales of around 750 million euros in 2023 in weak markets.<\/p>\n

The Ziegler Holding with around 170 employees and 20 of the 45 companies within the group are affected by the insolvency. According to the statement, five companies filed for insolvency on Wednesday, including two logistics subsidiaries.<\/p>\n

According to the insolvency administrator, Ziegler's core business is wood production and processing for the construction industry. Recently, however, the company has embarked on an aggressive growth course and is also active in logistics, pellet production, forestry, house and window construction, and building services.
