<\/span>At the beginning of the week, Ponsse held rapid change negotiations with his trustees. The negotiations dealt with measures to prepare for a weakened market situation.<\/p>\n

The outcome of the negotiations was that in 2025, the forest machinery company will prepare for a maximum of 90 days of layoffs. The possible layoffs concern the 850 employees of the company that are in the scope of the negotiations, excluding the Finnish sales and service organization and Epec Oy.<\/p>\n

More detailed plans will possibly be made during the next year.<\/p>\n

According to Ponsse, the negotiations are based on the uncertainty of the economy and the challenges of the forest industry, which affect the demand for forest machines. The weakened market situation is reflected in the reduction of the company's order backlog and flow.
