<\/span>Egger Group has started construction at its 22nd plant in Markt Bibart, Germany, committing over \u20ac200 million to develop new facilities focused on recycling and sustainability. Acquired in November 2023 from Rauch, the plant is now the site of an extensive, multi-phase project to process recycled wood and produce laminated chipboard with decorative finishes.<\/p>\n

Construction began in late September on a new recycling facility that will process wood waste from items like old furniture and packaging materials. This facility is expected to begin operation in summer 2025, with a new Timberpak recycling collection site planned for easy access to recycled wood from the W\u00fcrzburg\/Nuremberg area.<\/p>\n

Upgrades include new lamination lines for chipboard production, automated storage systems, and improved logistics to streamline plant operations. The expanded plant will produce both raw and laminated chipboard, enhancing its production capacity and efficiency while maintaining service to existing customers.<\/p>\n

These improvements are planned for completion by autumn 2026, encompassing enhanced recycling capabilities, expanded lamination processes, and optimized storage.
