The forest company Stora Enso is preparing to sell part of its forest assets located in Sweden. <\/span><\/p>\n

The purpose is to sell 12 percent, or almost 170,000 hectares, of the total 1.4 million hectares of forest assets.<\/p>\n

The sale would reduce the company's debt and strengthen the balance sheet. The terms of the deal, which include long-term wood procurement contracts, are agreed separately with the buyer.<\/p>\n

In order to promote sales, the company has initiated measures to create a new legal structure for its Swedish forests.<\/p>\n

In Finland, Stora Enso gave up its forest assets in 2002, when it transferred its forest to the Tornator company.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
