The European Union, Sweden\u2019s largest market, saw a decline of 10%, with exports totaling 3.69 million cubic meters.Also, exports to the UK and China contributed to the overall decrease.<\/p>\n<p>Shipments to Germany fell by 15%, to 363,537 cubic meters, and France experienced a significant reduction of 26%, dropping to 193,843 cubic meters. The Netherlands and Denmark also recorded decreases of 3% and 11%, respectively. Despite these declines, some European markets such as Norway saw slight growth or remained stable, with Norway maintaining export levels at 429,156 cubic meters.<\/p>\n<p>In North Africa, exports decreased by 11%, totaling 1.14 million cubic meters. While exports to Egypt remained steady at approximately 691,939 cubic meters, other countries in the region experienced sharper declines. Algeria saw a 33% drop, while exports to Tunisia plummeted by 58%. In contrast, exports to Morocco increased slightly by 2%, reaching 200,318 cubic meters.<\/p>\n<p>Swedish exports to North America were relatively stable, declining by just 2% to 662,232 cubic meters. The United States accounted for the majority of these exports, while Canada saw an 84% increase, albeit from a small base, totaling 1,265 cubic meters.<\/p>\n<p>The Near and Middle East region faced a substantial 28% drop in exports, amounting to 220,169 cubic meters. Saudi Arabia, the largest market in the region, saw a slight decrease of 4%, while exports to Israel and Yemen fell sharply by 60% and 80%, respectively. Conversely, exports to Syria nearly doubled, increasing by 97%.<\/p>\n<p>Asian markets showed a mixed performance. Overall exports to the region fell by 7%, with China seeing the largest decline of 51%, dropping to 176,411 cubic meters. However, exports to Japan surged by 49%, reaching 484,843 cubic meters.
