The construction of the new Stiga RM chipboard\u00a0 factory in Tukum, Latvia is proceeding according to plan, having agreed with the Italian manufacturer SCM Group on the supply and installation of high-tech production equipment.<\/span> In the coming months, the supplier will provide a wide range of production equipment in the amount of several million euros, so that the 15,000-square-meter factory will start operating at the end of next year.<\/p>\n

\"We are pleased that the construction of a new production facility is proceeding according to plan and in some stages even ahead of the initial schedule - if at the beginning of the construction the opening of the factory was planned for the first half of 2026, then the plans now clearly show the end of next year as the deadline when Tukuma region will become one of the manufacturing companies richer,\" emphasizes Sandis Fogelmanis, head of the Stiga RM wood chipboard factory.<\/p>\n

This fall, it is planned to fully complete the construction works of the factory building. Access roads have also been created, asphalt has been laid for the wooden lot, an office building and a boiler house have been built, as well as sewage, water and electricity supply systems have been provided. The next important step is the supply, installation, integration and start of the production process.<\/p>\n

The factory will be able to produce up to 4.5 million square meters of chipboard acoustic panels every year. The boards will be mostly exported to European, Scandinavian and North American countries.<\/p>\n

The total investment in the development of the new production plant will exceed 32 million euros.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
