However, the sector has seen a sharp decline, with 21 fewer companies meeting this threshold compared to 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The total sales revenue for the industry in 2023 was \u20ac615.6 million, a decrease of 23.2% from the previous year\u2019s \u20ac801.8 million. The sector\u2019s collective profit in 2023 was \u20ac24.9 million, down 79.3% from \u20ac119.8 million in 2022.
