The company starts change negotiations, even though the order backlog is good. <\/span>However, there have been fewer new orders, so the work is not distributed evenly to everyone.<\/p>\n

The wood technology company Raute begins change negotiations regarding possible layoffs of up to 90 days in Finland. <\/span>The negotiations concern the Analyzers and Wood Processing business units. The Analyzers unit manufactures automation systems for wood processing plants, and the Wood Processing unit produces actual production equipment. <\/span>In addition to Lahti, both units have operations in different parts of the country, such as in Oulu and Kajaani.<\/span><\/p>\n

The accumulation of new orders by the Lahtai company has been rather modest this year. The company's CEO\u00a0<\/span>Mika\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Saariaho<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0says that the order book is still good, as last year the company received a record number of new orders.<\/span><\/p>\n

''This is typical for a company like ours. At the moment, the work is not evenly distributed, even though the order backlog is good,'' says Saariaho.<\/span><\/p>\n

The layoff negotiations concern more than 400 people. Possible layoffs would be scheduled for the end of this year and the first half of next year.<\/span><\/p>\n
