The largest price increases occurred in southern Sweden.<span id=\"more-36124\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>According to statistics from the Swedish Forest Agency, timber prices continued to rise during the second quarter of 2024. The statistics show that regionally, the price of sawlogs increased the most in G\u00f6taland, with a five percent rise, followed by Svealand with a three percent increase. In Southern Norrland, the sawlog price increased by two percent, while in Northern Norrland, the price decreased by just under one percent compared to the first quarter of this year.<\/p>\n<p>A similar pattern can be seen for pulpwood prices. In G\u00f6taland and Svealand, pulpwood prices increased by five and four percent, respectively. In Southern and Northern Norrland, pulpwood prices decreased by two percent and just under one percent, respectively.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sharp increase from 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When compared to the second quarter of 2023, the overall price of sawlogs in the country increased by just over 33 percent.
