To meet the continued high demand for forest raw materials, S\u00f6dra is raising prices on several timber assortments starting August 21.<\/span><\/p>\n

The price adjustments apply to sawlogs, small sawlogs, softwood pulpwood, hardwood pulpwood, fuelwood, and forest chips. These adjustments aim to stimulate forestry activities such as regeneration felling, thinning, and conservation management.<\/p>\n

Despite ongoing uncertainties in the global timber market, the situation can change rapidly. However, S\u00f6dra's assessment is that the strong demand for forest raw materials is long-term.<\/p>\n

\"The market's demand for raw materials from family-owned forests remains high. The increased demand is due to more people wanting to use the forest and its raw materials, leading to a timber market with a raw material deficit. Therefore, it is crucial that we continue our work to maximize the value of every wood fiber,\" says Peter Karlsson, head of S\u00f6dra Skog.<\/p>\n

The following price adjustments are made and apply from August 21, 2024:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Timber<\/strong><\/p>\n

-The base price for standard spruce sawlogs increases by 100 SEK\/m\u00b3fub (approx. \u20ac8.50).
\n-The base price for standard pine sawlogs increases by 70 SEK\/m\u00b3fub (approx. \u20ac6.00).
\n-The base price for small timber\u00a0 increases by 50 SEK\/m\u00b3fub (approx. \u20ac4.25).
\n-The base price for beech timber\/logs increases by 50 SEK\/m\u00b3fub (approx. \u20ac4.25).<\/p>\n

Pulpwood<\/strong><\/p>\n

The base price for pine and spruce pulpwood increases by 50 SEK\/m\u00b3fub (approx. \u20ac4.25).
\nThe base price for hardwood pulpwood increases by 30 SEK\/m\u00b3fub (approx. \u20ac2.55).<\/p>\n

Fuelwood and forest chips<\/strong><\/p>\n

The base price for fuelwood increases by 30 SEK\/m\u00b3fub (approx. \u20ac2.55).
