In Estonia, timber price trends have shown varied directions across different species. Pine logs have decreased in price, while spruce logs have risen. The prices for birch assortments have dropped, whereas aspen and alder logs have become more expensive. Notably, prices for pulpwood have decreased across all types, reflecting a similar trend in fuelwood prices.<\/p>\n

In July, the price of pine logs in Estonia experienced a slight decline of up to 1% or remained stable. Conversely, spruce logs saw an increase of over 3%.<\/p>\n

Over the past three months, the prices for all pine log assortments have decreased: logs by 4.7% and small logs by 3.4%. In contrast, spruce log prices have risen, with logs up by 2.2%, small logs up by 3.4%.<\/p>\n

Compared to last year, all timber assortments have become significantly more expensive. Pine logs have increased by 10.5% (\u20ac8.1 per ton), small pine logs by 10.2% (\u20ac7.4 per m3), spruce logs by 20.3% (\u20ac14.9 per m3, and small spruce logs by 18.2% (\u20ac13.25 per m3).<\/p>\n

Among hardwood logs, birch veneer log prices have continued to fall by 1.5%, but birch logs saw a considerable drop of 7.4% in July. The price of small birch logs remained stable compared to June. Aspen logs increased by 4.4%, while alder logs behaved differently: alder scantlings rose by 4.4%, but grey alder logs decreased by 3.8%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
