Canfor\u00a0Corporation announces that it has completed\u00a0the\u00a0acquisition of a sawmill in Union County, Arkansas, f<\/span>rom Resolute El Dorado, a subsidiary of Domtar Corporation.<\/p>\n

The company, renamed Iron Mountain, produces lumber and specialty wood products. The acquisition will create operational synergies with Canfor\u2019s existing facilities, provide vertical integration with its two glulam mills, and add additional capacity near key markets in the southern United States.<\/p>\n

Its integration will capitalize on the Canfor\u2019s regional manufacturing footprint to optimize product portfolio and maximize value. Leveraging Canfor\u2019s experience and expertise, and with an anticipated further $50 million in planned upgrades, production capacity is expected to increase to 175 million board feet per year.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
