Blumer-Lehmann AG, Gossau (Switzerland), is investing in the wood industry division in production lines for cross-laminated timber (CLT) and glued laminated timber (glulam) and the modernization of the sawmill <\/span>at the main and production site in Erlenhof. The glulam line is expected to go into operation in September 2025, the CLT line from June 2026.<\/p>\n

In addition to internal supplies for timber construction, semi-finished products made of glulam, CLT and a newly developed CLT variant are to be manufactured and supplement the range of wood products for the construction industry. The planned expansion measures at the site also include the modernization of the log yard in the sawmill with an electric gantry crane and the associated sorting line.<\/p>\n

With the new glulam plant, the company will also be able to process poorer quality sawn timber into high-quality products in the future. Any residual wood that is produced will be fully utilized for pellets.<\/p>\n

Ledinek has been selected as the main supplier, also having experience from 22 CLT systems and numerous GLT systems.<\/p>\n

The plant is fully automated and allows for the production of standard GLT, CLT, as well as specialized CLT. Ledinek also delivers a handling mechanization for the surface sanding machine and the CNC processing.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
