<\/span>The Polish sawmilling company KPPD announced the commencement of activities aimed at its sawmill in Wierzch\u00f3w. The main factor influencing such a decision are the growing problems with purchasing an appropriate amount of hardwood raw material to maintain production.<\/p>\n

''The State Forests have in recent years significantly limited the acquisition of hardwood raw materials and unfavorably changed its sales system, which translated directly into a significant increase in its prices. This results in an unfavorable ratio of costs to revenues . In addition, due to further restrictions on the harvesting of hardwood planned by the European Union (the FIT 55 program, i.e. excluding 20% \u200b\u200bof the forest area from exploitation, will mainly affect deciduous forests), there are no prospects for improving the situation in terms of access to this raw material'' indicates the management board companies.<\/p>\n

ZPD Wierzchowo is a sawmill specializing in the processing of hardwood. It is one of twelve production plants belonging to KPPD SA. After production is stopped, the hardwood raw material purchased by the company will be processed by ZPD Ko\u0142acz.<\/p>\n

With 70 years of experience in wood processing, KPPD-Szczecinek S.A. stands as one of the largest timber producers in Poland. Headquartered in Szczecinek, the company produces 266,000 cubic meters of pine timber annually across\u00a0 along with 30,000 cubic meters of beech and oak timber from its two hardwood sawmills.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
