<\/span>The Swedish forest owners' association Mellanskog has reported on historically large price increases. The reason behind the prices increases is the rising demand for wood.<\/p>\n

The price increases vary slightly by region. In Mellanskog's western and eastern operating areas, the list price of pine logs rose by 80 Swedish krona (6.80 EUR), and for spruce logs by SEK 100 (8.50 EUR) per m\u00b3. At its best, pine logs are already paid more than SEK 1,000 (85.00 EUR). In the northern and central regions, the list price of pine rose by SEK 60 (5.10 EUR) per m\u00b3 and of spruce logs by SEK 100 (8.50 EUR) per m\u00b3.<\/p>\n

The prices of softwood were increased by SEK 50 (4.25 EUR) per cubic meter. The most is paid for birch fiber, SEK 580 (49.30 EUR) per m\u00b3. Energy wood prices rose by SEK 40-85 (3.40-7.23 EUR) per cubic meter.<\/p>\n
