<\/span>The Ziegler Group is not at rest: At the end of September, Managing Director Andreas Sandner will be leaving the company, which he has led alongside Stefan Ziegler for the past few years.<\/p>\n

It is not yet clear whether\u00a0Andreas Sandner\u00a0's departure is good or bad for the international wood and construction company in Betzenm\u00fchle. In any case, it is a bombshell for the company with its more than 3,000 employees, which has recently been the focus of various rumors.<\/p>\n

Sandner, a native of Fuchsm\u00fchle, has been with the Ziegler Group since 2018 and has headed the company together with Stefan Ziegler as managing director since 2021. Over the past three years, Sandner has managed many relevant processes in the company and was, so to speak, the \"face\" of Ziegler. This makes the departure of the trained banker and business economist all the more surprising. It is also not known what will happen to Sandner. Stefan Ziegler simply said: \"We thank Sandner for his commitment and his work in the company.\"<\/p>\n

An Austrian takes over<\/strong><\/p>\n

As Sandner's successor, Ziegler has brought in\u00a0Wolfgang Thurner,\u00a0a manager from Austria. The 40-year-old has been working at Ziegler as Executive Director since the beginning of May. \"I am delighted to welcome Wolfgang Thurner to the Ziegler Group, who will use his expertise to help us move forward, particularly with regard to sales coordination,\" company owner Stefan Ziegler is quoted as saying in the statement. With the acquisition of the HS Timber sawmill in Sebe\u0219 in Romania and two sawmills in Sweden, Ziegler currently has three sales channels. \"Thurner should bring these together as closely as possible as a coordinator and central contact for the foreign locations,\" the statement concludes.<\/p>\n

Thurner, who studied wood management and industrial engineering, worked for his parents' company for a long time. In 2019, he moved to Mayr-Melnhof Holz in Leoben, where he worked until recently.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
