<\/span>The divestment of Mets\u00e4 Group\u2019s parent company Mets\u00e4liitto Cooperative\u2019s wood supply business in Estonia to Combiforest O\u00dc, a subsidiary of the Estonian company Combiwood Grupp O\u00dc, has been completed. The seller is Mets\u00e4 Forest Eesti AS, a subsidiary fully owned by Mets\u00e4liitto Cooperative. On 27 February 2024, Mets\u00e4 Group announced the divestment of its wood supply business in Estonia, which at the time still required approval by the Estonian Competition Authority.<\/p>\n

The divestment of the Estonian wood supply operations has no material financial impact on Mets\u00e4 Group\u2019s wood supply and forest services business. The parties have agreed long-term deliveries of pulpwood and chips to Mets\u00e4 Group. All Mets\u00e4 Forest Eesti AS employees will transfer to the new owner\u2019s service as existing employees.<\/p>\n

Mets\u00e4 Forest provides and develops services for the members of Mets\u00e4 Group\u2019s parent company, Mets\u00e4liitto Cooperative. The company procures all the wood used by Mets\u00e4 Group\u2019s production units. The cooperative consists of more than 90,000 forest owners, who own about half of Finland\u2019s privately owned forests.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
