<\/span>Keitele Timber Oy plans to implement an investment program of more than 40 million euros, which will increase the annual production capacity of the Keitele sawmill by almost 50 percent to 600,000 cubic meters.<\/p>\n

The use of logs in Keitele increases to almost 1.3 million cubic meters per year. The majority of the increasing wood use is spruce logs, which are procured from neighboring counties in addition to North Savo.<\/p>\n

Turnover will increase by 60 million euros as a result of the investment, the company says in a press release.<\/p>\n

The investments include a new packaging plant, more drying capacity, process warehouses and equipment for handling bar loads.<\/p>\n

In addition to these, a six-hectare plot of land will be acquired for the extension of the factory area and new warehouses for the final products.<\/p>\n
