<\/span>The Vologda Timber Industry group of companies has confirmed the acquisition of a 100% share of the Russian assets of the Finnish Mets\u00e4 Group. The government commission and the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia approved the deal.<\/p>\n

The rental base, logging operations and sawmill are located in the Podporozhsky district of the Leningrad region.<\/p>\n

According to the press service of the VLP Group of Companies, the acquisition will strengthen the company\u2019s position in international markets, increase the production of high-quality dry lumber to 900 thousand m\u00b3 per year, and also increase the raw material base by 500 thousand m\u00b3 of estimated logging area per year.
