In recent years there has been a significant increase in export supplies of birch veneer from Russia. <\/span>The product with low added value is actively used abroad in the production of plywood and wood-based panel cladding for furniture.<\/p>\n

The key importer of veneer remains China, where Russian exporters have supplied 419 thousand m\u00b3 of forest products over the past five years. During this time, the export volume almost doubled from the base 241 thousand m\u00b3.<\/p>\n

According to experts, with current international economic sanctions and significant restrictions on sales markets for Russian plywood, additional risks arise. Domestic plywood producers may face a shortage of high-quality birch raw materials, since it is sent to China both in the form of roundwood and veneer.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
