Upon the receipt of approval from the Competition Council of Latvia, Stiga RM, one of Latvia\u2019s leading timber companies, plans to complete the acquisition of the Norupe sawmill owned by R\u012bgas me\u017ei SIA<\/span> in order to build a new production facility instead of the existing sawmill in the coming years.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe approval of the Competition Council of Latvia will allow us to finalise organisational work and to start the implementation of our plans for the development of the new factory. We see that this location has a significant development potential in continuing the targeted development of the production of high added value products in Latvia. There is a lot of work ahead, but we have accumulated extensive experience, and this will become the third Stiga RM factory in Latvia,\u201d says Andris Ramoli\u0146\u0161, owner of Stiga RM.<\/p>\n

Stiga RM currently owns one of the most modern birch plywood mill in the Baltic states, which has been successfully operating in Kuld\u012bga for more than ten years, while a high-tech Wood Wool Cement Board (WWCB) plant is under construction in Tukums and is expected to be put into operation in 2025.<\/p>\n
