in March 2024, the monthly volume of plywood produced in Russia exceeded 300 thousand m\u00b3 for the first time in a long time. <\/span>Analysts note that the last time comparable monthly plywood production volumes were recorded was in April 2022, several months before the actual stop of Russian plywood exports to the European market .<\/p>\n

In addition, citing data from Rosstat, the agency reported that in the first quarter of this year, plywood production in Russia increased year-on-year by 17.2%. In January-March, the production volume amounted to 868 thousand m\u00b3. In March, the country produced 322 thousand m\u00b3 of plywood, which is 10.6% more year on year and 10.5% more month on month.<\/p>\n

Russian manufacturers and traders are responding to this surge with consistent price increases, indicative of a market in recovery since February. Forecasts suggest this upward trend in prices is likely to continue throughout the summer months.
