On Thursday morning, the Finnish Employers' Association SAK's board discussed the current labor market situation and the decisions on the framework dispute. <\/span>It did not make decisions on industrial action.
''We stopped the strikes ten days ago, so that we can talk with the Orpon-Purra government about its planned work life weakening. Discussions are ongoing and in progress. Today, no decisions were made about political strikes to one half or the other, ''SAK board chairman Jarkko Eloranta says.<\/p>\n

According to Eloranta, there has been a discussion with Minister of Labor Arto Satonen especially about local agreements and the conditions for negotiating an export-led labor market model.<\/p>\n

The views are still far from each other, but the discussions have taken place in a very good spirit. SAK's board reviewed this current situation today. It did not make any new decisions regarding labor market model negotiations.<\/p>\n

SAK's board estimates that the winter and spring unrest and the unilateral changes in the law will make the collective bargaining negotiations starting in the fall more difficult.
