S\u00f6dra justifies the price increases by assessing that the demand for forest raw materials is long-term. S\u00f6dra states that uncertainties prevailing in the global timber market could lead to rapid changes.<\/p>\n<p>\"The shift we see in the timber market, where a historical surplus of supply has transitioned into a structural raw material deficit, signifies a new situation for both timber trade and industry. More and more people want to utilize the forest and its raw material for various purposes, which presents many opportunities and a competitive advantage for those who manage to wisely utilize the entire tree in combination with being a driving market player,\" says Peter Karlsson, Business Area Manager at S\u00f6dra Skog.<\/p>\n<p>Current prices for the various business areas can be found on S\u00f6dra's website.<\/p>\n<p>Price adjustments effective from April 15, 2024:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Timber:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Base price for normal timber of pine and spruce increases by 30 SEK\/m3 (2.70 EUR\/m3)<\/p>\n<p>Base price for small timber and logs increases by 80 SEK\/m3 (7.20 EUR\/m3)<\/p>\n<p>Base price for beech timber\/logs increases by 80 SEK\/m3 (7.20 EUR\/m3)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pulpwood:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Base price for softwood and hardwood pulpwood increases by 50 SEK\/m3 (4.50 EUR\/m3)<\/p>\n<p>Base price for hardwood pulpwood increases by 30 SEK\/m3 (2.70 EUR\/m3)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fuelwood:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Base price for fuelwood increases by 60 SEK\/m3 (5.40 EUR\/m3)<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The price adjustments cover softwood pulpwood, hardwood pulpwood, fuelwood, timber, and small sawn timber assortments.
