\"The government has said that it will not look for solutions with the employees during the strikes. No new decisions were made regarding the continuation of the strikes. We are now giving Orpon-Purra's board room to act. The strikes will be suspended on Monday, April 8. We are ready for discussions even before that\", SAK chairman Jarkko Eloranta says in the press release.<\/p>\n
The SAK will next consider the situation in a couple of weeks, on April 18.<\/p>\n

The goal is for production to be up and running by the weekend.<\/p>\n Stora Enso starting up Varkaus and Oulu mills<\/strong><\/p>\n Stora Enso recently confirmed the resumption of operations at its Varkaus mill last week. The decision to restart the mill follows its temporary shutdown due to strikes within the Finnish logistics sector.<\/p>\n Additionally, a spokesperson for the company disclosed that production at the Oulu mill is scheduled to ramp up throughout this week.<\/p>\n The Varkaus mill, boasting a production capacity of 420,000 tons per year (TPY) for white-top and brown kraftliner, along with 360,000 TPY for pulp, plays a significant role in Stora Enso's manufacturing capabilities.
