From November 2023 to January 2024, some fluctuations in the prices of roundwood assortments were observed in Latvia's timber market. <\/span>The most significant price decrease was experienced by oak and ash log assortments, while the most rapid price increase was observed for softwood pulpwood assortments.<\/p>\n

During the period from November to January, the most significant price decrease was for oak and ash log assortments, with the price decrease for thick hardwood logs being 11.83% (160.50 EUR\/m3), and the average hardwood log assortment price decrease being 11.22% (97.72 EUR\/m3).<\/p>\n

A significant price increase is evident in softwood pulpwood assortments, where the price increase for pine pulpwood is 9.09% (61.18 EUR\/m3), and the price increase for spruce pulpwood is 9.46% (61.18 EUR\/m3). For other tree species assortments, there has been no significant price decrease or increase, with the trend mainly being a slow decline in timber prices.<\/p>\n

The price decrease for thick pine logs is 2.20% (79.35 EUR\/m3),while the price decrease for thick spruce logs is 3.30% (80.59 EUR\/m3), the average spruce log price decrease is 2.22% (80.33 EUR\/m3). The price decrease for thick birch logs is 3.41% (128.89 EUR\/m3), while the price increase for aspen thick hardwood logs is 5.96% (67.11 EUR\/m3).<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
