Chinese buyers have refrained from placing orders with New Zealand exporters, adopting a wait-and-see approach for further price reductions. This prolonged uncertainty has halted major sales contracts for nearly two weeks, sparking significant concerns within the industry.<\/p>\n

In New Zealand, port deliveries are decelerating, necessitating a more pronounced adjustment to restore equilibrium between supply and demand. The forestry sector is urging immediate action to stabilize production and supply chains.<\/p>\n

Shipping rates, previously inflated, are now on the decline as demand softens. Capesize vessels are shifting focus due to reduced iron ore cargo, prompting a shift in the maritime landscape. This shift is reflected in falling prices, with iron ore prices ex Australia plummeting.<\/p>\n
