<\/span>One of Latvia's leading woodworking companies \"Stiga RM\" will significantly expand its birch plywood factory this year , adding production facilities with an area of \u200b\u200b2900 square meters, and will continue its modernization with new, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly equipment. Total investments in work productivity and production quality promotion projects will exceed 10.5 million euros this year .<\/p>\n

As early as this spring, it is planned to dismantle the office building on the territory of the factory, and in its place, a thermal treatment pool with equipment will be built. At the same time, work is being done on the reconstruction and expansion of the production workshop , the construction of another production building. The development projects will make it possible to significantly increase the production capacity.<\/p>\n

\"The reconstruction of the production building and the expansion of the area intended for production is planned in two phases, and it is an ambitious project that has been ongoing since last year,\" emphasizes Viesturs Kr\u0113vics, director of the \"Stiga RM\" plywood factory.<\/p>\n

At the moment, the construction of the boiler house is nearing the finish line, with the installation of a new Polytechnik 12 MW boiler for the production of steam, which is necessary for the technological process, which allows the use of lower-quality chips and bark from production residues.<\/p>\n

In parallel with the modernization of the boiler house, the installation of the chipper and conveyors for processing wood residues, as well as the puttying line , continues . A top conveyor system for internal logistics and a dry sorting line equipped with Mecano cameras is installed in Raute with computer vision functionality, optimizing the quality assessment and sorting processes. By the end of the year, modernization measures are also expected in several other facilities and production lines.<\/p>\n

The total cost of the Stiga RM plywood factory development project will exceed 22.4 million euros within two years. It started at the beginning of last year and will continue until the end of this year, significantly increasing production and export volumes.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
