<\/span>Mets\u00e4 Group has informed about new unit shutdowns. Production will stop due to strikes at the sawmills in Rauma, Vilppula, Rengo and Lappeenranta on Friday (March 22). The factories in Simpele, Kyro, Tako and \u00c4\u00e4nekoski will stop on Monday 25.3.<\/p>\n

Factories and sawmills can be restarted once wood transport and product transport by rail start again, Mets\u00e4 Group says. Previously, the company had already stopped the factories in Kemi and Joutseno.<\/p>\n

The strikes will continue next week as well<\/strong><\/p>\n

The political strikes will continue for another week, SAK chairman Jarkko Eloranta told a press conference today, Wednesday. The strikes will continue to the same extent as this week and last week. Regarding aviation fuel, actions are still being considered, the purpose is to secure air traffic.<\/p>\n
