Wood trade has been brisk in February-March, Stora Enso's new wood market overview states. <\/span>The good demand for domestic wood has also kept the prices of both logs and pulpwood at a high level.<\/p>\n

The company's factories now have demand for all types of logs. At the top of the shopping list are final felling and thinning sites suitable for next summer's harvest. End cuttings of hard soil along good transport links, suitable for the spring weeding season, are also interesting.<\/p>\n

The whole of Finland now has a very good demand for wood, Stora Enso reports. <\/span>In autumn, the wood market was not as lively, h<\/span>owever, the weeks of the 8th and 9th of the current year have been quantitatively more lively than at the same time in the previous two years.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The current winter has been excellent in terms of harvesting. The plan is to utilize the winter conditions until the last day of winter, and all harvesting resources will be in use before the start of the harvest season, Stora Enso says.<\/p>\n

Stora Enso also reminds us that the demand for FSC-certified wood is constantly growing.
