In Finland there will be a three-day general strike in mid-February (February 12\u201314), which will involve approximately 60,000 workers.<\/span><\/p>\n

The strike is also felt in the forest sector.\u00a0In the mechanical forest industry, there are strikes at the sawmills of large companies as well as private ones.\u00a0There are also strikes at forest technology companies, including Ponsse, Deere and Kesla.<\/p>\n

The strikes are protesting Petteri Orpo's government's weakening of unemployment security and employment security, as well as restrictions on the right to strike.<\/p>\n
