In Sweden, the wood price rally continues.<\/span>S\u00f6dra announced that it will raise the base prices of pine and fir logs by one hundred Swedish krona (about 9 euros).<\/p>\n

After the increase, the base price of spruce logs rose to a magical 1000 SEK (90 euros) per cubic meter and of pine to 900 SEK (81 euros).\u00a0Prices are roadside prices.<\/p>\n

In Sweden, timber is measured and priced in cubic meters without bark.\u00a0In Swedish wood stores, basic prices are typically increased with various extras.<\/p>\n

S\u00f6dra's assessment is that the need for wood will be large during the winter and spring.\u00a0<\/span>In a press release, they flag at the same time that there is great uncertainty in the global timber market and that the situation in terms of demand and timber prices can change.<\/span><\/p>\n

S\u00f6dra's Business Director\u00a0Peter Karlsson\u00a0justified the emphasis in a statement as follows:\u00a0\u00a0\"At the same time that construction has decreased, the import of sawn timber from Russia has also decreased.\u00a0At the same time, the exchange rate advantage of the Swedish krona benefits us.\"<\/p>\n
