Bogdan and Elzbieta Kaczmarek, private investors and owners of Central European manufacturers of quality furniture and mattresses, together with Innova Capital, a leading CEE private equity fund,\u00a0have agreed to acquire 100% of Pfleiderer Poland, manufacturer of premium and high-quality wood-based panels. <\/span>The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2024, subject to obtaining the required regulatory approvals and other customary conditions precedent. The agreement does not cover Silekol, a company belonging to the Pfleiderer Group, which produces adhesives used in the production of wood-based boards.<\/p>\n

Pfleiderer Polska is the second largest manufacturer of wood-based panels in Poland. The group includes three production plants - two in Grajewo and one in Wierusz\u00f3w, which employ a total of approximately 1,100 employees. Pfleiderer is a supplier of a wide range of wood-based products for the furniture, construction and interior finishing industries. Last year, Kronospan intended to take over Pfleiderer Poland but the takeover did not take place due to the reservations of the European Commission, which in its investigation indicated that such concentration could distort competition on the wood-based panels market and from the point of view of antitrust law.<\/p>\n

''After many years of operation within the Group, the acquisition announced today will lead to the formal separation of Pfleiderer's board production activities in Germany and Poland. We perceive the investment by Mr. and Mrs. Kaczmarek and Innova Capital as proof of trust in the current strategy and business model of Pfleiderer Polska, its well-established relationships with clients and the quality of its management staff and other employees. The transaction will not affect the remaining operations of the Group, including Pfleiderer Deutschland and Silekol in Poland,'' says Miguel Kohlmann,chairman of the supervisory board of the Pfleiderer Group.<\/p>\n

Bogdan and El\u017cbieta Kaczmarek are private investors and owners of, among others, plants producing high-quality furniture and mattresses in Central and Eastern Europe. Com40 and Correct are among the largest furniture manufacturers in Poland. Mattresses and upholstered furniture produced by their factories in Poland and the USA are delivered, among others to IKEA.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
